Ruth Hull, 86
Ruth Amber Hull, 86, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2024, at her home in Sandpoint, Idaho. Ruth will be interred at the Pack River Cemetery with her husband, Milo “Nick” Hull, at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2024.
Ruth was born Sept. 18, 1937, in Bedford, Wyo., to Cecil and Audrey “Cleora” Skinner. She grew up with her mother in Star Valley, Wyo., moving to Sandpoint when she was 14 to live with her father.
Ruth married Nick Hull on Sept. 8, 1952, in Montpelier, Idaho. The couple made their home and raised their two sons, Kim Hull and Kurtis Hull, in Sandpoint.
She enjoyed her family and was an avid crafter. Her home is filled with wonderful things that Ruth made. Ruth and Nick were avid bowlers belonging to a number of local leagues and participated in the traveling league.
She worked at a number of local businesses including Dairy Delight, now known as Dub’s Drive-In, the Sandpoint Manor, Fournier’s Cut Stock, Jack’s Lockers, with the majority of her career at Safeway, where she retired as a meat cutter.
She is survived by her son, Kurtis (Betsy) Hull of Sandpoint; two grandchildren, Khaliela Wright and Taj (Stacey Sams) Hull; four great-grandchildren, Judah Wright, Samuel Wright, Kira Carla Hull, and Quinn Hull; two grandchildren-of-the-heart, William Carla and Cassidi Sams; three brothers, Leo (Cheryl) Skinner, Dan (Nona) Skinner and Thad (Nancy) Skinner; one sister, Judith Skinner; and two former daughters-in-law, Sheila Ripley and Lisa (Hull) Abbott.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Joy Clark, Hazel Hillstead, and Sammy Lee Skinner; her husband, Nick Hull; and her son, Kim Hull.
