SUMMARY OF CITY OF SANDPOINT ORDINANCE NO. 1423 Appointive City Officers and Terms AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANDPOINT, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE STATE OF IDAHO, AMENDING SANDPOINT CITY CODE TITLE 1, CHAPTER 6, SECTIONS 1 AND 2, PROVIDING FOR APPOINTIVE CITY OFFICERS AND THEIR TERMS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Following is a summary of the provisions of Ordinance No. 1423. Ordinance Section 1 amends Sandpoint City Code Title 1, Chapter 6, Section 1, removing City Administrator and adding Public Works Director, Community Planning and Development Director, and Central Services Director as designated appointed officers and officials of the City. Ordinance Section 2 amends Title 1, Chapter 6, Section 2, deleting reference to the Joint Powers Agreement (JPA) with Sagle and Westside Fire Districts. Ordinance Sections 3 and 4 provide for repeal and severability, publication and an effective date. This publication is a summary of the full Ordinance and is being published pursuant to Idaho Code Section 50-901A. This ordinance was passed and approved upon a proper roll call vote and duly enacted at a properly-noticed session of the Sandpoint City Council, held July 17, 2024. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS  NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Ponderay Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 5:30 p.m., to consider the following requests:  File AM24-031 – Zoning Text Amendment, Title 9, Article D, Uses, Permitted – Ben McGrann has initiated an amendment to the land use regulations of Ponderay City Code (PCC). The proposed amendment would modify the text of Title 9, Chapter 4, Article D, Section 3, to allow for sales to occur within the industrial zone of Ponderay when associated with an approved industrial use.  File AM24-032 – Zoning Text Amendment, Title 9, Articles C and D, Uses, Permitted and Special Uses in the Commercial and Industrial Zones – The City of Ponderay has initiated an amendment to the land use regulations of Ponderay City Code (PCC). The proposed amendment would modify the text of Title 9, Chapter 4, Articles C and D to amend the uses and special uses that are allowed within the Commercial and Industrial Zones of Ponderay.  File AX24-033 – Category A(ii) Annexation of Land into the City of Ponderay, Craigs Forest Tracts – The City of Ponderay has initiated a Category A (ii) Annexation of 14 lots that are located within the Craigs Forest Tracts subdivision and the public right of ways associated with E. Bronx Road and Craigs Court. The subject lots were previously excluded from Annexation and are residential enclaved lands which are surrounded on all sides by lands within the City of Ponderay’s jurisdictional boundaries.  An electronic method of participation has also been established for the applicants and members of the public who wish to participate remotely.
