Hazel Parsley, 91

Hazel Elaine Parsley, 91, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Rosary will be held July 25, 2024, at 5 p.m. Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. July 26, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Rob Cook officiating. 

Hazel was born July 10, 1933, in Ayr, N.D., to Richard and Esther Jacobson. Hazel married Darrel Parsley on June 10, 1965, and the couple moved their home to Sandpoint, Idaho. 

Hazel was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading novels and visiting with family members at her home.

Hazel is survived by one sister, Betty Dorr of Brooklyn Park, Minn.; one son, Bill Parsley of Sagle, Idaho; two daughters, Tammy Elliot of Tacoma, Wash., and Deborah (Rick) Parsley-White of Spokane, Wash.; 11 grandchildren, Brandi (Daniel) Driver, Mike Elliott, Paul Thomas, Sarah Thomas, Rob Thomas, Casey Rawlins, Adam Rawlins, Daniel Parsley, Meghan Parsley, Elizabeth Parsley, and Joseph Parsley; and many great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Darrel Parsley; siblings Kenny, Margaret, Ruth, Raymond, Melvin, Joyce, and Doris; and daughters Denise Parsley and Linda Zick.
