God's miracles can be found all around us

I ask this question, do you believe In miracles? Do you believe that God will do what He says He will do?

So oftentimes we find ourselves staring out at the waves, and ignoring the hand of our savior that is outstretched to us. As Peter stepped out in faith, toward His Lord, his faith created a solid ground upon the water, but it was the moment that he looked at the evidence positioned against his faith that he lost sight, and he lost the miracle.

And so I ask how often do we do this? We become so fixated on what we see in the world, perhaps we believe we are beyond saving, perhaps we believe that God can, but He won’t, or perhaps we even believe that we are past the age of miracles.

But I stand firm, that we simply need to look. We need to take our eyes off of the waves, off of the negative voices that keep telling lies that Christ can’t or won’t, and instead remember that the same Jesus who walked on water, the same Jesus who stood beside three men in a fiery furnace, is the same Jesus that stands with us believers today.

It is our own disbelief that prevents not the miracles, but seeing the miracles. That is what I think our obstacle is today; not that we don’t have the miraculous abounding everyday, but because we refuse to see it.

I see a beautiful representation of this is the movie "Hook". Adult Peter sits amongst the Lost Boys, who are feasting on foods that can only be imagined, and yet he refuses to see, and therefore cannot eat, even though those around him are certain of the banquet in front of them. And in the moment that Peter, believes instead of understanding (remember we lean not on our own understanding) the food, the miracle appears before him, and he can now take part amongst his brothers.

I urge you today, allow yourself to see the miracle, to see the feast that Christ is laying at your feet. When we look to Him we will walk on the waves, we will see the sick healed, we will see the lost found, and we will be certain that the evidence of this world, holds nothing in comparison to the weight of the evidence of faith. For the word says,

”Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.“ (‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭1‬ ‭KJV‬‬)

And by this word, His evidence has overwritten the evidence of the world. So be blessed, have faith, and see the miraculous that is already before you.
