POAC offers a sneak preview of Artist Studio Tour
The community is invited to join Pend Oreille Arts Council for a sneak peek of the upcoming Artists' Studio Tour.
On Friday, Aug. 2, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the POAC will host a reception at its POAC Gallery, 313 N. Second Ave., where they will be exhibiting samples of the works of local artists who are participating in the annual tour. Paintings, jewelry, metalwork, photography, fiber art, drawings and ceramics will all be on display at this exciting new exhibit.
The Artists’ Studio Tour is literally a tour of artists’ studios that happens this year from Aug. 30 through Sept. 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The Aug. 2 reception will provide you with brochures and directions to take this self-guided, no-cost tour.
You won’t want to miss this show that will be up until the end of August. The works are unique and for sale.
Also mark your calendars for the following weekend, Aug. 10 and 11 for Pend Oreille Arts Council’s 52nd Arts and Crafts Fair. Over 120 artists and crafters will take over downtown Sandpoint’s city streets to ply their handcrafted wares. You’ll certainly find something to add to your home décor.
Pend Oreille Arts Council facilitates quality experiences in the arts through educational programs and presentations that benefit the people of North Idaho. Go to www.artinsandpoint.org for more information or stop by the gallery and office, 313 N. Second Ave, Sandpoint.
