Full caption: During the annual Bulldog Bench Spring Scramble on April 27, Tim Wilcox of Sandpoint made a hole-in-one at the 172-yard fourth hole of The Links Golf Course in Post Falls. For his ace-making shot, Tim won $10,000 thanks to Taylor & Sons Chevrolet, who has sponsored a hole-in-one prize for the Bulldog Bench bi-annually for the last 10 years. With over 2,800-plus player attempts over the years, Wilcox is the first to win the prize. The Bulldog Bench scramble serves as a booster organization for all Sandpoint High athletic teams, contributing $20,000 to $30,000 annually across all sports teams. Recent contributions include annual scholarships totaling $6,500 to Bulldog student-athletes for pursuit of secondary education, assistance with travel expenses for state tournament qualified teams, and new uniforms and travel gear for the Sandpoint High School girls basketball team.
