Soup kitchen finds new home

The Gardenia Center Soup Kitchen is reopening Wednesday at its new location at the First Presbyterian Church, 417 N. Fourth Ave.

As before, the soup kitchen will be open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Wednesday. Homemade soups, bread, desserts, and occasionally salads, will be served.

Organizers said the First Presbyterian Church staff and congregation have welcomed the soup kitchen, allowing them to continue the service for the community.

"Delicious homemade soups and homemade bread are always available, plus deserts and often homemade salads," Mark Reiner, one of the organizers, said. "Please come and join us as we look forward to serving the community with good food and lots of love."
