WaFd Bank celebrates new look
SANDPOINT — WaFd Bank is celebrating a new look, and the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce was on hand to celebrate the moment with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The Sandpoint branch, 405 N. Second Ave., recently completed a major remodel of the site, which has been at the location since the Seattle-based regional bank opened in Sandpoint more than 12 years ago.
Danielle Resso, branch manager, and staff welcomed chamber members and officials for a tour of the remodel and celebrated with a Chamber After Hours event at the May 29 event.
Founded in 1917 as the Washington Federal Savings and Loan Association, the name was changed to WaFd Bank in 2004. The retail and commercial bank has over 200 branches in the western United States, including Idaho, Washington and Oregon.
