CAL announces scholarship awards

| June 12, 2024 1:00 AM

The Community Assistance League has selected 69 students from local high schools to receive $74,000 in scholarships to further their education.

The students are graduating from Sandpoint High School, Priest River Lamanna High School, Clark Fork High School, Lake Pend Oreille High School, and Tech Trep Academy/Idaho Home Learning Academy.

CAL is a nearly 50-year-old organization dedicated to improving the lives of Bonner County residents through philanthropy. Although personal monetary donations are always welcome, the bulk of the monies the organization gives back to the community comes from the proceeds of its shop, Bizarre Bazaar.

Since 2006 CAL has gifted more than $2.3 million in grants and scholarships to date.
