YOUTH SPORTS: Diamondbacks win SLL Majors Championship
The Western Pleasure Guest Ranch Diamondbacks defeated Mountain West Bank Dodgers, 5-2 in the Sandpoint Little League Majors Championship game held Thursday at War Memorial Field. The five Diamondback runs came off home runs hit by Deegan Pierson, Cruz Oliver, and Mac Peters. Bruce Cooke had a big two-out hit to keep the inning alive in the 4th. Mac Peters threw out a steal attempt at third base to end a Dodger rally in the fifth inning.
