Warning! Cyclists on roads Saturday

More than 450 cyclists will be pedaling along Highway 95, Highway 2, Highway 200, Selle Road and several other area roads Saturday as part of the annual CHAFE ride.

The 150-mile ride takes off from City Beach at 6:30 a.m. 

The 25- and 40-mile rides start at noon at City Beach.

The 80-mile riders leave for Troy by bus at 7 a.m. with the ride starting at 9:30.

The gravel ride bus leaves at 9.

There will be riders on various roads until 5 p.m. with some in the 150-mile ride on the road until 8 or so.

The public is invited to the after-ride party from 3 to 6 p.m. at the lawn at Trinity with food and drink available to purchase. 

CHAFE is a fundraiser for Sandpoint Rotary with funds going to the Lake Pend Oreille School District to fund The Book Trust. The Book Trust provides books to every first through third grader in the school district. Funds are also used to support youth leadership courses, etc.
