WILSON RETIRES

After 37 years with the Soil Conservation Service, Tom Wilson is retiring. Wilson, who came to this area 15 years ago to assume duties with the Bonner and Boundary Soil Conservation Districts, has headed the snow surveys at Schweitzer Basin for the past 11 years, as well as measurements on Mosquito Ridge before it was converted for aerial reading. Wilson, who has a home at Sunnyside, plans to remain here to take advantage of the year-round recreational opportunities. Vern Bromgard, district conservationist from St. Maries, is being transferred to Sandpoint to fill Wilson’s vacancy.
