Crapo holding telephone town hall
Idaho residents are invited to join Sen. Mike Crapo for a statewide telephone town hall Tuesday, June 18. The event will start at 11:15 a.m. Pacific Time.
The conversation between Crapo, R-Idaho, and AARP Idaho State Director Lupe Wissel will focus on the national debt, budget, Medicare, Social Security, environmental concerns and other issues important to Idahoans and their families.
"Events like AARP Idaho's town hall are a prime opportunity for me to hear directly from Idahoans. Serving as the top Republican on the Senate Finance Committee gives me a strong platform to advocate for them in discussions about incredibly important issues, including taxation, trade, federal health care programs and Social Security," Crapo said. "I thank AARP Idaho for hosting this event and look forward to hearing more from Idahoans."
Participants can join by dialing toll-free 866-767-0637 or by listening to the live stream on AARP Idaho's Facebook page.
"Sen. Crapo and AARP share an appreciation for listening to our constituencies. It is clear that Idahoans appreciate the dialogue and collaborating on issues of common concern," Wissel said. "We are grateful to Sen. Crapo for joining our members across Idaho in meaningful conversation and providing an excellent opportunity to make their voices heard on the issues that matter most."
This is an interactive forum, and participants will have a chance to call and speak directly with Crapo. Questions may also be submitted ahead of time via email at aarpid@aarp.org.
The call is available for anyone regardless of AARP membership.
