Eddie Wesselman

| June 19, 2024 1:00 AM

Eddie Wesselman passed away April 18, 2023, in Sandpoint, Idaho, where he was born July 27, 1955, to Paddy (Chubb) and Harry "Ed" Wesselman Sr. Eddie shared a birthday with his grandma, Vi Chubb.

Eddie attended Sandpoint schools, Class of 1973. He had very fond memories of his youth in small-town Sandpoint back when everyone knew most everyone in town. Cruising the gut and City Beach was our playground. Eddie always thought he grew up at the best times of fast cars, good music, family and friends.

Eddie worked for his father, logging in his young years. In his 20s, he graduated from HVAC school in Twin Falls. With his first wife, Sheryl Halliday, they had a daughter, Toffer.

Eddie owned a heating and cooling company in Sandpoint with his second wife, Dawn Britton. They had two sons, Derek and Mason, and a daughter Kayla.

He went on to maintenance on military bases in Alaska, Washington, California, Hawaii and Guam. He traveled for several years with work after they divorced.

Eddie's health started to deteriorate by 2009. He moved back to Sandpoint to be near his family. Wherever he was, he always made it home for Christmas, all his kids in hand to be at his folks' house for Christmas Eve.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Paddy; and brothers Jim and Dougie.

He is survived by his children: Toffer, Derek (Marissa), Kayla and Mason (Jes); his grandchildren: Jagger, Emma, Titus, Tessa, Baylee and Avery; sisters: Tammy and Cyndi; and numeous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 22, at the Eagles Club, potluck 1-4 p.m.

A special thank you to AFS Home Health, Dr. Meg and staff, Lincare, and the senior center for Meals on Wheels, and all drivers.
