James Arthur 'Jim' Wesselman

James Arther "Jim" Wesselman passed away from cancer June 27, 2023, in Sandpoint, Idaho, where he was born to Harry "Ed" and Paddy (Chubb) Wesselman on Feb. 24, 1958.

Jim attended schools in Sandpoint, Class of 1976. He started his career at PJ's, cooking hamburgers, before leaving for college at the University of Idaho in Moscow. Jim worked for the Haugse family at Pastime Sports Shop. The Haugses sold to the Cox family (Sand-Ida), and Jim stayed on with the Cox family, leading to hospitality services at the Travelers and Edgewater motels. Jim also worked for Coldwater Creek on the bridge and for 19 years for the Hawkins family at Litehouse, Inc., in the dispatch department.

Jim enjoyed the nightlife. You could often find him downtown until closing time. He could be found at casinos, playing the slots.

Jim loved his family and friends, family get-togethers, and card parties.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Paddy. He is survived by his sisters, Tammy and Cyndi, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 22, at the Eagles Club, John Hudon Lane, with a potluck from 1 to 4 p.m.
