MGs offer drop-in garden clinic, tour
NEWPORT — The public is invited to attend a drop-in garden clinic and tour at the Washington State University Master Gardeners' demonstration garden and greenhouse on Friday.
Visitors can drop in anytime between 9 a.m. and noon to visit with local Master Gardeners about gardening in the region. Brief demonstrations will be repeated on the hour, showcasing a wide variety of gardening techniques and what's growing in the demonstration garden that attendees may be able to replicate in their own gardens.
Guided tours of the garden will be offered every 15 minutes, providing an opportunity to see firsthand the various gardening methods and plants on display.
"Most importantly, our Master Gardeners will be ready to answer all your gardening questions," Beverly Sarles said.
The demonstration garden is located just northwest of the WSU/Pend Oreille County Extension Office, 227 S. Garden Ave., in Newport.
The event is free and open to the public. No registration is required.
