PR Spartan Booster Club holding multiple fundraisers for sports, extracurriculars

PRIEST RIVER — The Priest River Spartan Booster Club recently started a 2024-25 activities fund to help raise the minimum $150,000 required to begin to save the following programs: Junior High and High School Sports, AcaDeca, Honor Society, Leadership, Yearbook, Band, Drama, and Instrumental & Vocal Club.

The deadline to donate is July 17, 2024, and every contribution made up to $75,000 before that deadline will be matched by an anonymous donor. Any amount collected exceeding $150,000 will be divided between programs to offset individual program fundraising. All donations are tax-deductible.

There are a variety of ways to donate: 

— Online, visit pr-spartan-booster-club.square.site/.

— Visit any STCU branch and designate to Spartan Booster Club, Inc. 2024/2025 Activities Account.

— Visit Elsaesser Anderson Law Office located at 519 High Street, Priest River, Idaho. There is a drop box on the backdoor.

— Send a check to PR Spartan Booster Club at P.O. Box 751, Priest River, ID 83856.

FUNDRAISERS

JUNE 28

The Union Street Perk coffee shop located at 302 W. Fourth Street in Newport will have donation jars from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will match every donation up to $500.

JULY 4

Musician Sammy Eubanks will be performing with a full band at the Kassa/Dunn Yard located just right of the Moose Knuckle in Coolin. Eubanks was born and raised in California until he moved to Priest River at the age of 15. Eubanks is referred to as one of the most reputable voices in the Inland Empire and plays a variety of blues, country and rock 'n’ roll classics as well as originals. He has won the "Best Male Vocalist'' award 12 times in the state of Washington and he and his band, The Work’n Class, have won multiple awards and recognitions including advancing to the semifinals at 2013 International Blues Challenge in Memphis. Eubanks and his band also brought home the runner-up position at the same event in 2019. In addition to his music, cornhole, wiffleball, ladder golf and dancing and will be available for all to enjoy. BYOB.

Donations are expected for this event. All proceeds collected onsite will go directly to the district’s fund. 

JULY 12 

A bingo night hosted by the Priest River Youth Sports Board will be held at the Priest River Elementary Gym — doors open at 5 p.m. and bingo starts at 6 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to bingo winners. A silent auction will also be held and includes various prizes. Food will be available, potluck style; if interested in providing food for the potluck contact president.prys@gmail.com. There is no age limit for participation. Cards are $1 each or six for $5.
