Financial report tops brief council agenda
SANDPOINT — The City Council is expected to quickly work through a brief agenda Wednesday after a presentation on Sandpoint’s quarterly financial report.
The financial report presentation, given by the city’s finance director, Sarah Lynds, will cover the period between Oct. 1, 2022, and Sept. 30, 2023.
A full statement for each fund reflecting year to date, the balances of the debits and credits belonging to three different categories, and a percentage comparison to the original appropriation are all expected to be shared during the report.
The only old business item involves a presentation on last year’s financial audit, which was recently completed by Magnuson, McHugh & Company, P.A.
For new business, the council will consider approval of the fire department’s implementation and use of a web-based code compliance platform.
“The compliance engine (TCE) is a web-based platform the fire department would like to implement to ensure code compliance,” city officials said in an agenda report. “Fire system contractors would submit their inspection reports to the fire department via the portal, where all records would be maintained and available to us in one location.”
The meeting will take place Wednesday, March 6, at Sandpoint City Hall, 1123 Lake St., starting at 5:30 p.m. The public can attend in person or online at sandpointidaho.gov.
