County to host hearings

SANDPOINT — Public hearings regarding multiple variances and a conditional use permit, including a discussion about a shoreline setback in Cocolalla, are slated to go before the Bonner County hearing examiner March 20.

Applicants are requesting a zero-foot shoreline setback where 75 feet is required. The nearly 11-acre property is zoned suburban and located off Freedom Lane in Cocolalla.

For a property line setback on Granite Ridge Drive in Sandpoint, the applicant is requesting a zero-foot property line setback where five feet is required, according to hearing documents. The 0.75-acre property is zoned Rural 5.

Another property line setback application is also seeking a zero-foot setback from the property line where 5 feet is now required. The 0.27-acre property is zoned recreation and located on Shadow Brook Drive in Nordman. 

A hearing regarding a conditional use permit will also be considered. The applicant is requesting a conditional use permit for a winery subordinate and accessory to farming, according to a public hearing notice. The 10-acre property is zoned agricultural/forestry. The project is located off Fox Glen Road in northern Bonner County.

The public hearing will be held at 1:30 p.m. March 20 in the Bonner County Administration Building, 1500 U.S. 2 in Sandpoint as well as via Zoom
