WOMEN’S WORLD AT SCHWEITZER

It takes eight ladies to keep Schweitzer Basin in good running order, each dedicated to making a skier’s day just a little more enjoyable. Shirley Hamacher, manager Sam Wormington’s right arm, has spent eight years ramrodding the other ladies who keep the place ticking. Mary Petrin is in her first year. In addition to helping Shirley around the office, she runs the switchboard. Arlene Evans is assistant bookkeeper, while Delores Kelly, head bookkeeper, is at Schweitzer’s downtown Sandpoint offices. Marilyn Kamp supervises season ticket sales, and handling the cash registers at the main ticket office are Judy Harris, Norma Poelstra, and Betty Stangel.
