Luke Omodt has worn out his welcome

Luke Omodt has worn out his welcome as a Bonner County commissioner.

Omodt is supposed to represent me and my residential zone, but he has neither assisted me in county matters nor visited his constituents in our neighborhood. Bullying children in the classroom may have been his method of teaching, but that approach and lack of people skills have no place in county government or in disrespecting county residents' constitutional right to redress their grievances to their elected board. So much time has been wasted at commissioner meetings due to Omodt's underhanded tactics to silence another commissioner and demonize public comment — shameful.

I respect the sacrifices of our veterans to defend our Constitution and Bill of Rights, but Omodt goes beyond proper decorum by constantly shoving his military service in our faces as if he is entitled to special treatment over the rest of us Bonner County residents and senior citizens that paid his military and teaching salary and benefits.

It's time for a rational changing of the guard. Vote out Luke Omodt. We need someone else with college intelligence and people skills.
