Mary-Jane Henry, 81

Mary-Jane Henry, 81, passed away Monday, Feb. 26, 2024, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024, at North Summit Church with Pastor Mark Hammer officiating, a reception will follow.

Mary-Jane was born June 11, 1942, in Riverside, Calif., to Theordore and Jane Hembrook. She graduated from Newport Harbor High School in Newport Beach, Calif. She attended Orange Coast College, where she met Buddy Henry in 1961 and graduated with a degree in home economics. 

Mary-Jane married Buddy on Jan. 27, 1962, in Garden Grove, Calif. They raised two children, Jane and David. In 1979, they moved to Bellevue, Wash., and she worked at Sundstrand Data Control, Safeco Insurance and then for Boeing in information security. After retiring they moved to Sandpoint, Idaho, in 1999.

Mary-Jane is a member of North Summit Church. She enjoyed baking, cooking, reading and music.

Mary-Jane is survived by her husband, Buddy Henry of Sandpoint, Idaho; daughter Jane and her husband, Jon Brownell, of Sandpoint; son David and his wife, Amber Henry, of East Helena, Mont.; grandchildren, Jordan, Savannah, and Mackenna Henry; and one brother, Lee Hembrook, of Minnesota.
