SANDPOINT — Thirteen commissioners’ items are on the agenda for Tuesday’s regular business meeting this week — one from Commissioner Luke Omodt and 12 from Commissioner Asia Williams.

Omodt hopes to discuss an easement agreement between Beardmore Landing and Bonner Park West.

Williams plans on discussing multiple county issues, including conflicting oaths of office and county ordinance. Williams also plans to discuss multiple public comment items, allowing public comment after each agenda item as well as denying certain citizens their right to free speech. Additionally, the county’s liability for a citizen’s arrest, who is paying for the litigation of tort claims against commissioners, what constitutes county business, and randomizing the order of voting are more agenda items from Williams.

She also wants to invite Deputy Prosecutor Bill Wilson to speak on whether Williams has the right to give public comment.

The board is also expecting to hear from the Clerk, Solid Waste, Recreation, Drug Court and Prosecutor departments regarding memorandums of understanding, monetary requests, agreements, and outside counsel assignments.

The meeting will end with an executive session regarding two human resource items. Executive sessions are closed to the public to give officials a chance to discuss confidential information; however, all decisions must be made in open session.

Board of Bonner County Commission meetings are held at the Bonner County Administration Building, 1500 U.S. 2; and also are livestreamed via YouTube. To access the streams, visit the Bonner County YouTube page at bit.ly/3NElj9X.
