POST FALLS — Pepper Rickert and Neva Reseska were both flawless in their matches, leading the Bulldogs to an 11-1 victory over Post Falls on Wednesday.

In addition to Rickert and Reseska’s shutouts, Bella Bailey picked up her first win of the season in the No. 3 singles spot.

“Bella has a really solid serve,” head coach Kent Anderson said. “Her opponent had a lot of trouble returning it. All Bella had to do to win the match was to stay consistent with her serve, and she did.”

It was business as usual for Sydney Webb and Aubrey Knowles, who won in the No. 1 doubles spot. Mya Vorhies and Lily Evans also played together for the first time this year and were victorious.

“They are really fun to watch,” Anderson said of Vorhies and Evans. “Mya is a senior and Lily is a sophomore and it’s really great to see them winning together.”

Jacob Dawson and Caden Martz dominated their opponents in boys singles, both picking up their first wins of the season. In doubles, Ethan Ballard and Nathan Duke remain undefeated after a commanding victory. Brennan Johnson and Fisher Dail also picked up their first win of the season.

In mixed doubles, Sandpoint swept, getting victories from Berkeley Cox and Noah Spinney in the No. 1 spot and Hannah Fisher and Mason Blaser in the No. 2 spot.

“Berkeley is undefeated after playing girls doubles last week,” Anderson said. “Everywhere she goes, she wins. She's another player who has a really big serve that is tough to break.”

Anderson also mentioned how Fisher and Blaser were impressive in their win.

“Mason won three challenge matches this week to make it up to varsity,” Anderson said. “He comes up and is able to win here — great job by Mason and Hannah.”

Sandpoint will head to the Clarkston Tournament this Friday and Saturday.
