SANDPOINT — Tens of thousands of eggs will be hidden during various Easter events across Bonner County being held during the next two weekends.

On Sunday, March 24, over 10,000 candy-filled eggs will be hidden at Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church’s annual Egg-stravaganza. The hunt will begin at 11 a.m. — rain or shine — for children up to 12 years old. The event is free to the public and complimentary refreshments will be included for all who attend. The church is located at 1900 Pine St., across the street from Litehouse YMCA in Sandpoint. For questions or more information, call the church office at 208-263-7516.

Lewis & Hawn Excellence in Dentistry will also be hosting an egg hunt on Sunday, March 24 at 10:30 a.m. The hunt will be held at 2025 Pine St., Sandpoint.

Sandpoint Lions Club is hosting its annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday, March 30. The event will include a Girl Scout cookie booth, complimentary coffee provided by Evans Brothers, hot chocolate and special hidden eggs among others. The event begins at 9 a.m. sharp.

In Priest River on the same day, an egg hosted by Priest River Lions Club will be held at City Park. The event will begin at 12 p.m.

Parkside Church is hosting its eighth annual Easter egg hunt. With over 16,000 eggs, their mission is to make sure no child leaves without a basket of eggs.

The event will also include a petting zoo, Kona Ice, hot cocoa bar and prizes, church officials said

The community is invited to come early or stay after to attend one of Parkside’s Resurrection Sunday services. The church will hold Easter Sunday services at 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. at the same location as the event, 423 N. Lincoln Ave., Sandpoint.

Schweitzer will also be hosting its own sunrise Easter service and egg hunt. A complimentary lift ride on the Great Escape Quad will be provided between 6:15 a.m. and 6:45 a.m. to attend the service, which will be hosted by Schweitzer Chapel at 7 a.m.

To participate in Schweitzer’s Easter egg hunt in the village, meet in front of Crow’s Bench patio at 9 a.m. The hunt is open to children under 12 years old.
