| March 31, 2024 1:00 AM

Can you feel it? The world is shifting, the future is looking different for the people of the world.

Sandpoint native Becca Renk will speak about her work in Nicaragua at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, at the Quaker Meeting House, 1025 Alder St. The talk is free and open to the public.

Renk has spent the last 25 years working in sustainable community development in Nicaragua with the Center for Development in Central America. With a focus on health care, sustainable agriculture, sustainable economic development, and education, the CDCA's projects are for local communities, by local communities. She also will talk about how the future of Nicaragua is changing, and how the CDCA is committed to working in harmony with the Nicaraguan people and nurturing this new future together.

Becca is the director of the Nueva Vida Health Clinic and coordinator of education projects at the Casa Ben Linder in Managua.
