This program is being carried on by the Idaho Fish and Game Dept. with the aim of improving the Pend Oreille fishery.

RESTRICTIONS ON LIVESTOCK IN CITY

Mayor Diehl’s administration wound up virtually all its business before turning the reins of government over to the new administration of Mayor Floyd Gray. Ordinances passed included one regulating the keeping of livestock and fowls in the city limits, which will no doubt result in substantial controversy. The ordinance prohibits the running at large of all animals and fowls and addresses the harboring of pigs and goats, horses and cattle. The ordinance does not specifically prohibit keeping such livestock and fowls but does provide for maintaining sanitary conditions and sets up certain standards. Pigs and goats have more specific regulations, making it virtually impossible to harbor either in the city.
