If you can't say something nice …
Projection. Projection. Projection. Recent letters to the editor claim that Jim Woodward somehow “lied,” while at the same time failed to define his “lies” and just used inuendo, smoke and mirrors distractions, and name calling. It seems we have been down this road before.
I learned long ago that true liars always seem to be the ones that are quick to use the word liar, point fingers, and then muddy the waters by playing fast and loose with the truth themselves. My question is why are they fine with the abundance of “bearing of false witness” by the candidate running against Jim? The last time this senate seat was contested in the primary, massive amounts of vested interest money from outside of Idaho was spent on ads, e-mail trolling, and fraudulent flyers filled with lies and accusations against Jim Woodward. It is happening again.
I have known Jim for 20 years. We don’t have to always agree on everything, but we respect differences and agree on the big picture. Jim listens and seeks to understand the complexities of issues, rather than just falling back on easy answers of close-minded dogma. Jim is a true North Idahoan, a good family man, a veteran, a good person, and above all else, honest. When Jim was in the State Senate, he made responsible and conscientious decisions for North Idaho. He represented all of us with transparency and integrity. Something that is sadly lacking in recent years.
I was raised with the words that if you don’t have anything good to say about someone, then don’t say anything at all. So, regarding Jim's opponent …
