POAC hosting piano master class with Hsieh

The Pend Oreille Arts Council has announced an exclusive piano master class led by the accomplished pianist Tien Hsieh at the Music Conservatory of Sandpoint. The class will be Thursday.

Renowned for her exceptional musical talent, Tien Hsieh honed her skills at the Manhattan School of Music, where she earned the Professional Studies Diploma and Master of Music Degree studying under the guidance of Dr. Marc Silverman. Prior to this, she excelled at the University of Houston, receiving her Bachelor of Music degree as a scholarship student of Abbey Simon and Ruth Tomfohrde.

The enriching master class is tailored for pianists seeking to refine their craft through interactive sessions under Tien's expert guidance. Participants can expect one-on-one interactions within a focused group setting, with a duration of 45 to 90 minutes, ideal for three to five students. Tien will provide valuable insights, demonstrate musical and technical concepts, and offer tailored guidance to elevate the students' musical progress.
