YOUTH SPORTS: Clark Fork, Priest River compete at MS Track & Field Districts

SPIRIT LAKE — Clark Fork seventh-grader Vanessa Rogier was sixth in the 100, second in the long jump, and anchored the winning 4x100 relay to lead the Wampus Cats’ sixth-seventh grade girls to a fourth place team finish at the 3A/2A/1A Middle School Track & Field District 1-2 Championships hosted by Timberlake High on May 3.

Also picking up big points for the sixth-seventh Lady Cats were Gemma Wood (fifth in 100 and second in 100 hurdles) and Grace Thompson (second in the shot put). Priest River’s Brady Barton won the discus, Farrah Hollett the shot put to lead the sixth-seventh Lady Spartans to a fifth place team finish.

In the boys’ sixth-seventh grade division, Landen Meyers was second in the shot put, first in the discus, and sixth in the long jump for Priest River.

In the boys’ eighth grade division, Joseph Sateren was fourth in the 800 and second in the 1600 for the Spartans. Anden Griesemer was first in the shot put and fourth in the discus. David Harbison was third in the 110 hurdles, Coleton Hoisington fourth in the high jump.

In the girls’ eighth grade division, Clark Fork’s Elyssa Raynor was sixth in the 200 and ninth in the 100. Timberlake’s Adelynn Archer won the 100, 200, and 400 for the Tigers.
