Robin Jelinek, 66
Robin Jelinek passed away in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, at Hospice of North Idaho on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2024.
A memorial will be held at 1 p.m. May 18, 2024, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Sandpoint.
Robin was born March 28, 1957, in Grants Pass, Ore., and grew up in Fort Bragg, Calif. When she married, she moved to Hope, Idaho, where she had her daughter, Katie Draut.
Her love for art and talent led to her owning a tailoring shop for many years in Ponderay, Idaho. She repaired and altered everything from wedding gowns to backpacks and ski gear. You could see her love for people when she sold the chefs’ aprons and ironing board covers she designed in local farmers markets for many years. Her love for travel started when she traveled to Europe as a child with her family. It grew with her many trips exploring the U.S., Peru, and Canada. She loved her pets and volunteered many hours, sharing her Bible knowledge.
Robin is survived by her daughter, Katie Draut of Oakland, Calif.; parents, James and Barbara Jelinek of Sandpoint, Idaho: and sister Anna Rhodes of Spokane, Wash.
