BOCC eyes longer meeting
SANDPOINT — Short commissioner agendas weren’t going to last forever, and Tuesday’s meeting is expected to be lengthier than those put before the board during the past few months.
Only one commissioner has items on this week’s agenda — Commissioner Asia Williams, who plans to discuss sergeant-at-arms optics, review the language in an ordinance, and discuss the definition of electioneering.
Six departments have items on the agenda this week as well. The board is set to hear from the Clerk, Recreation, Solid Waste, Justice Services, Weeds, and Planning departments regarding topics such as final plats, cost shares, contracts, and loans.
The waterways advisory board will also talk with the commissioners regarding a resolution for advisory board bylaw changes.
Tuesday’s meeting will end with two executive sessions: One for the Planning Department and the other for Human Resources. Executive sessions are closed to the public to give officials a chance to discuss confidential information; however, all decisions must be made in open session.
Board of Bonner County Commission meetings are held at the Bonner County Administration Building, 1500 U.S. 2; and also are live-streamed via YouTube. To access the streams, visit the Bonner County YouTube page at bit.ly/3NElj9X.
