Herndon has proven record of conservative values

Scott Herndon, a true conservative, has a proven record of supporting lower taxes. He has been rated the most conservative legislator in Idaho.

Like you, I work hard and it seems there is less and less money each month. The rising cost of gas and groceries affects me every day. Idaho is one of 13 states that charge taxes on groceries. Scott is in support of eliminating this tax. Idaho’s gas tax is higher than 28 other states at a rate of 32 cents per gallon. With inflation making it increasingly difficult on our pocketbooks, Scott believes in cutting the gas tax to give us tax relief in a real and meaningful way. One more thing to take note of is our property taxes, due next month, by the way. Scott Herndon sponsored two bills to reduce property taxes. We can thank Scott and the Republicans in the Senate for overriding the governor's veto of HB 292 which will continue to deliver relief in 2024 and beyond. As property values see astronomical increases, homeowners exemptions remain the same. Scott supported HB78 in 2023 to fix the problem. Scott wants Idahoans to keep more of their money. I supported him in 2022 and I support him now.
