2A/1A STATE TRACK & FIELD: Lamanna, Sedbrook pick up top 10 finishes

MIDDLETON — Rebecca Sedbrook finished fifth in the shot put, Brayden Lamanna seventh in the 1600 as the Spartans wrapped things up at the 2A State Track & Field Championship on Saturday.

Lamanna, who finished seventh in the 3200 Friday, ran a new personal best time of 4:35.62 in the 1600, which ranks as the fifth fastest time in school history. Sedbrook threw a new personal best mark of 34 feet and 10 ½ inches, the ninth best mark in school history.

Lizzie McCracken finished 12th in the 800 with a new personal best time of 2:34.74, good enough for seventh-best in school history.

Priest River’s boys finished tied for 18th with eight points while the girls were tied for 19th with six points.

MIDDLETON — Rockland won the boys’ team title and Logos the girls team title as the 1A State Track & Field Championship wrapped up Saturday.

No Wampus Cats were in action on the second day of competition.
