Cedar Street Bridge honored as top chamber business

SANDPOINT — The Cedar Street Bridge was celebrated by the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce as its May Business of the Month. The business was honored at the chamber's May 9 meeting.

Jacob Worth, who owns a company that builds virtual production studios, Optic 8, often travels from Dallas to Sandpoint to visit friends Stacey Mueller and Creations owner Shery Meekings, as well as their respective families. 

When the trio heard the bridge was for sale, they saw it as an opportunity to create and celebrate community and forge connections among its residents.

Since the change in ownership, Muller has spearheaded a change in culture on the Bridge, noting that Worth felt the deep connection that the community had for the Bridge and gave Muller and her team the green light to resurrect what was once a common community gathering place by encouraging the positive. 

Muller told chamber members at the May 9 meeting that, thanks to the changes, the positive energy is flowing once again within this unique structure in downtown Sandpoint.
