COLLEGE NOTEBOOK: Davis named NAIA West Region Male Athlete of the Year

Sandpoint’s TJ Davis was recently named the Men's Field Athlete of the Year for the NAIA West Region by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Davis still leads the nation in the decathlon with an impressive 6996 points. After finishing second in 2022, he will look to grab his first national decathlon title at the NAIA National Championships set to be held May 22-24 in Marion, Ind.
Camille Ussher, Spokane CC Track & Field
Bonners Ferry alum Camille Ussher finished second in the 800 (2:24.64), second in the 1500 (4:47.31), and anchored the Sasquatch’s 4x400 relay (4:05.56), which also finished second, and Spokane CC’s women won the NWAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships held May 20-21 at Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham, Ore.

Priest River’s Elisheva Davis helped contribute towards the Sasquatch women’s title by placing eighth in the long jump (15-1 ¼), sixth in the triple jump (32-10 ¼), and eighth in the decathlon (2,809 points).
