Chamber welcomes The Forge to organization

SANDPOINT — The Forge Artisan Pizza was welcomed to the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce as the new business celebrated its grand opening over the Lost in the 50s weekend.

Owners Mike and Sandi Johnson started out in Sandpoint as a pop-up, serving all-organic, sourdough pizza as Panhandle Pizza Kitchen.

As its popularity grew, a brick-and-mortar location became a reality when the couple found a great location at 306 Pine St. between Third and Fourth avenues. They spent many months renovating the location until they opened their doors in May.

The Johnsons said the front deck is a lovely spot to enjoy a meal, and the interior features an authentic, wood-fired pizza oven, straight from Naples, Italy.

The Forge Artisan Pizza owners Mike and Sandi Johnson are joined by Chamber Ambassadors Phil Hough and Steve Sanchez, along with chamber board members Jeremy Brown and Danielle Resso. Also in attendance were The Forge employees and family members: Ryder Johnson, Roman and Cruz Coscarelli, Niki and Kaiden Chamberlain, Robert Moore, Travis Hoyt, Chris and Ashley Brocco, Tanner Anderson, Vanessa Blaser, and Chris Dredge.
