Rief honored as chambers' top volunteer
SANDPOINT — Stephanie Rief has been named at the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce as its May Volunteer of the Month at the chamber's membership luncheon May 9.
Rief was selected for the honor after sharing her time, talent, and expertise for decades throughout the Sandpoint community.
Greater Sandpoint Chamber officials said the organization has benefited from Rief’s leadership since she first joined its board from 2016 to 2019. She served as board secretary from 2019 to 2021, as board chair from 2021 to 2023, and currently holds the post as past chair for 2024.
Past board positions with other nonprofit organizations include the Carousel of Smiles Advisory Board and Habitat for Humanity Advisory Board.
Rief has been the association executive of the Selkirk Association of Realtors & Multiple Listing Service for the past 24 years. She has brought her expertise in real estate to her participation in the Spokane-Kootenai County Real Estate Research Group Board, 2016-present, Idaho Society of Association Executives, 2022-present, and the Idaho Realtors' Scholarships & Convention Committee, 2020-present.
Other volunteer activities include Senior Finance Fair Committee, 2013-present; SAR Charity Golf Tournament chair, 2010 to present; Elks Lodge No. 1376 member and events volunteer; and Elk of the Year, 2021-2022.
Rief has been the Lost in the '50s classic car parade traffic controller from 2016 to the present. Rief also spearheaded, organized, and worked at the Lost in the '50s SARS fundraiser breakfast.
