Residents can register, vote in today's election
The county's voters who haven't registered can still cast ballots in today's general election through same-day registration at polling places, Secretary of State Phil McGrane said Monday.
"Voting is one of the most important ways to make your voice heard," McGrane said. "Even if you missed the pre-registration deadline, Idaho allows same-day registration at your polling place."
To register on Election Day, voters need photo identification such as an Idaho driver's license, passport, tribal ID or state-issued concealed weapons permit. They must also show proof of residence, which can include utility bills, bank statements or lease agreements.
Eligible voters must be U.S. citizens, at least 18 years old, Idaho residents for a minimum of 30 days, and have completed any felony sentences.
Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time.
Voters can check their registration status and find a complete list of acceptable documents at VoteIdaho.gov.
