Sophomore Hudson Asquith registered nine goals and two assists, sophomore Harrison Giles seven assists and four goals to lead the Sandpoint junior varsity boys' soccer team to a 10-5 record this season.

"There were so many positives to this team — from their exceptional skill to their incredible attitude on and off the field," head coach Tyler Bangle, who graduated from Sandpoint in 2022 and played at North Idaho College, said. "This was my first season as a head coach at any level and I couldn't have asked for a better team to start my career with."

Bangle said from day one his Bulldogs put in the work and showed no signs of slowing down. The team started off the season with an unexpected win over Lake City and then grabbed a win over Post Falls where Asquith netted an impressive six goals. The team then bested Priest River's varsity once, and Moscow, Lewiston, and Post Falls multiple times each before ending the season on a couple of losses.

Specifically in the game against Priest River, Bangle noted that freshman Rhiley Morris stepped up in between the posts to notch the shutout and freshmen Demetrius Ribeiro and Deacon Schicker had standout performances.

Bangle also noted that sophomore Jakeb Addison, and freshmen Ethan Polhemus and Wyatt Mitchell, this year's team captains, along with freshman Blake Bogadi and sophomore goalkeeper Landon Brinkmeier, led the team's defensive efforts while Asquith, Giles, Schicker, sophomore Max Merrill, and junior Paulo Arias Blanco, all had strong performances on the offensive end.
