ON UNIVERSITY OF IDAHO RALLY SQUAD
Jim Parsons, the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Parsons, Jr., with the rest of the U of I rally squad, will cheer the Vandals at the last four football games and the winter’s basketball games. A sophomore marketing major, he plans a career in investment counseling, land appraisal or real estate sales after graduation.

Dr. Helen Peterson and Mrs. Clara Patterson, Panhandle district health nurse, completed immunization of first graders in the Farmin, Washington and Lincoln schools Thursday.

PLANNING COMMISSION SET UP
Sandpoint’s first planning commission became a reality this week when the mayor and city council named nine members to serve terms of one to three years: Walter Magnuson, churches; Don Diehl, chamber of commerce; and Walter Hardin, youth, all one-year terms; Mrs. Alta Foster, women’s groups; Mrs. Fred Schedler, civic organizations; and Paul Loman, labor, two-year terms; Mrs. Henry Holien, Parent-Teacher associations; O.B. Parker, fraternal; and Charles Stidwell, veterans, three-year terms.

HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS VISIT U OF I
Schools superintendent L.V. Hughes and Farmin principal Charles Stidwell accompanied a group of seniors to Moscow to tour the campus Monday. The group went by school bus, returning the same day. On the trip were seniors Bill Brown, Nellie Booher, Al Nieman, Marjorie Burgess, Bob Caughey, Janice Crockett, Nancy Englert, Marianne Jukich, Richard LeBoeuf, Ruth Forrester, Bill Gill, Bill Pratt, James Gunby, Carol Kom, Robert Lepka, Byron Nead, Bob Parsons, Dick Peterson, Loren Tribe, Kay Robinson, Lester Rogers, Mary Schwin, Arthur Thompson, Kenneth Whaley, Don Williams and Sharon Napier.
