BCRW hosting Giving Tree fundraiser

The Bonner County Republican Women Inc. is kicking off its 2024 Giving Tree initiative to raise funds for the Bonner Gospel Mission next week.

The event will take place during the group's Nov. 19 luncheon meeting from 12:30-2:30 p.m. at the VFW Hall, 1325 Pine St., Sandpoint.

Bonner Gospel Mission Director Steven Schubarth will speak about the mission's work, including food assistance, shelter and recovery programs and their impact on the county's residents and families.

Schubarth will discuss challenges in the local community and how the mission helps address them. His presentation will emphasize community support and the impact of generosity.

The Giving Tree will let community members contribute to support the mission's work during the holiday season and beyond. Attendees can learn how their donations directly help those facing hardships in the area.

BCRWI welcomes everyone to the event, where members and guests can support the cause. The luncheon, catered by Red Barn Bakery, offers networking and discussion of local issues.
