ALL-CIL Football: Nine Spartans grab league honors

ALL-LEAGUE: Sawyer Staudt

A senior running back, Sawyer broke a number of school records this year as he rushed for 1,145 yards across 162 carries (7.1 yards per carry), posted five 100-plus yard rushing performances, and 24 total touchdowns — 22 rushing and two receiving — across just nine games. Sawyer also caught 12 passes for 137 yards (11.4 yards per catch) and averaged 142.4 total yards per game.

ALL-LEAGUE: Layton Goins

A freshman linebacker, Layton led the Spartans with 74 total tackles, an impressive 42 of which were solo, for an average of 8.4 tackles per game ... all team bests. Layton also hauled in a team-high three interceptions, two of which he returned for touchdowns, had two pass breakups, and returned a kickoff for a touchdown.

ALL-LEAGUE: Brady Hatten

A junior right tackle, Brady helped the Priest River offensive live to 2,828 total yards — 2,152 rushing and 676 passing — 37 total touchdowns and an average of 314.2 yards per game. On the defensive end, he also had 44 total tackles, nine of which were for a loss, 1.5 sacks, and caused and recovered one fumble.

ALL-LEAGUE: Nate Fegert

A sophomore running back, Nate had 53 carries for 651 yards (12.3 yards per carry), posted two 100-plus yard rushing performances, and eight total touchdowns — six rushing, one receiving, and one fumble return. On defense, Nate added 57 total tackles, nine of which were for a loss, two sacks, and caused one fumble and recovered four.

ALL-LEAGUE: Skyler Simcox

A senior wide receiver, Skyler had six catches for 105 yards (17.5 yards per reception) and recorded 51 total tackles on defense, one of which was for a loss, and a team-high three pass breakups.

ALL-LEAGUE: Luccas Simcox

A senior tight end, Luccas, in addition to his great blocking, caught three passes for 26 yards (8.7 yards per catch) and contributed 38 total tackles on defense, three of which were for a loss, and hauled in two interceptions.

ALL-LEAGUE: Colton Kuprienko

A sophomore linebacker, Colton had 53 total tackles, two of which were for a loss, two sacks, a fumble recovery, and a pass breakup on defense. He also saw time at running back, carrying the ball 27 times for 195 yards (7.2 yards per carry) and catching eight passes for 112 yards (14.0 yards per receptions) and four total touchdowns — one rushing, two receiving, and one kickoff return.

ALL-LEAGUE: Anden Griesemer

A freshman offensive guard, while his name may not have necessarily shown up on the stat sheet, Anden played a vital role on the offensive line in helping the Spartans to 2,828 total yards — 2,152 rushing and 676 passing — 37 total touchdowns and an average of 314.2 yards per game. On defense, he had 10 total tackles, one of which was for a loss.

ALL-LEAGUE: Colton Braden

A junior center, Colton controlled the stellar Spartan offense all season long and did his part in helping Priest River to their 2,828 total yards — 2,152 rushing and 676 passing — 37 total touchdowns and an average of 314.2 yards per game.
