Peterson hosting town hall today

SANDPOINT — The community is invited to join Democratic congressional candidate Kaylee Peterson at a town hall event today, Oct. 6.

The event, which will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. at Sandpoint Community Hall is open to all voters — whether Republicans, Democrats, independents, unaffiliated, or other. In a press release, Peterson said she wants to hear and learn what residents in the area want from their congressional representative.

Peterson, 33, is a mother of two and a full-time college student double majoring in political science and criminal justice.

As president of an eight-time national championship speech and debate team, and has served on local campaigns, nonprofits, and volunteer events. As a result, Peterson said she brings policy expertise and collaborative leadership that puts people first. The sixth-generation Idahoan lives with her husband, Trevor, and two children on a street named after her great-grandfather.
