Pend Oreille Playhouse seeks refrigerator

NEWPORT — Pend Oreille Playhouse officials are seeking an old-fashioned (looking) refrigerator for its concessions area.

For most stage productions, the Playhouse concessions department sells non-alcoholic and custom, alcoholic concoctions as part of the ongoing fundraising efforts. The net profits go straight back into the youth programs such as live theater experiences, summer camps, and youth workshops.  

"It doesn't have to be anything fancy," concessions manager Kris Fry said. "We just thought it would be fun to have the appliance be part of the Playhouse decor. That's not something you see every day." 

The nook where the refrigerator will sit is 32 inches wide and 25 inches deep. Fortunately, there is no height restriction. There is a small budget available to help purchase it, but a donation would be happily accepted, as well. If you have a refrigerator available and it works, contact 509-550-2155 to have a volunteer come take a look and to make arrangements.
