Thoughts on the military and politics

There is a book out by Pete Hegseth about the military going woke.

According to some military soldiers, it is another reason that the Army and other branches are missing their recruiting goals. One soldier said "I 100% believe the military is going woke. I see it daily, overweight men and women and not adhering to former military standards." Physical standards have been relaxed to get more people in the military.

Another said, "Nobody corrects them due to the fear of being fired or labeled as a racist or a sexist." 

When asked about the new "woke" Army, Biden's Secretary of the Army said: "We get criticized sometimes for going 'woke,' but I am not sure what 'woke' means."

Then she added, "I do think we do have a wide range of soldiers in our Army and we have to make them feel included … that is why a lot of our diversity, equity and inclusion programs are important."

For me, that about says it in a nutshell, and this attitude applies to our whole society — this "feel included" nonsense. It is in our education classes and all over, people are afraid of enforcing discipline because of the fear of getting fired. So discipline is going out the window all over the country. It goes back to weak leadership from the top. No wonder moral standards are going to heck in a bread basket in this country.
