White Pines Lacrosse set for first official tourney

Full caption: The White Pines club lacrosse team, founded this year to provide additional opportunities to high school boys and girls outside of the traditional spring league and club lacrosse seasons, will take the field for their first ever tournament this weekend in Spokane, the Inland Northwest Cup. 18 players from Sandpoint, Coeur d’Alene, and Lake City and will compete against some of the best teams in the region at the INC, which hosted teams from four different states and Canada last year. Coached by Sandpoint High graduate and former Division III lacrosse player Christian Crossingham, and assisted by longtime lacrosse player Brock Schulte, the team is excited to officially get to work. “This is a big moment for White Pines and for lacrosse in North Idaho," coach Crossingham said. "As the first travel team in the area, we’re proud to represent the region and develop and showcase the talent we have here. We’re eager to get out on the field, compete, and set the tone for future seasons.” The team is as follows: front row, from left are Kohta Fisher, Augustine DuVall, Carter Perry, Caiden Anthony, Logan Parkinson, Keagan Cole, and Hanu DuVall.
