Lisa Jayne, 60

| October 20, 2024 1:00 AM

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Lisa Jayne, who left this world Sept. 20, 2024, after an extraordinary 18-year battle with stage 4 breast cancer. She was 60 years old.

A devoted mother to her cherished sons, Max and Sam, and her beloved daughter, Mae, she poured her heart into nurturing and supporting them, instilling in them the values of kindness, compassion, and resilience. Her children were her delight, and she found immense joy in watching them grow and flourish.

LJ was a radiant soul who brought light and love to everyone she encountered. Her spirit was vibrant and her compassion knew no bounds. A true animal lover, she had an innate ability to connect with the creatures of this earth, treating each with kindness and respect. Her affinity for nature was evident in her passion for gardening and her delight in tending to her wildflowers. She found peace and solace in the great outdoors, often hiking with her beloved dog, Desi, and grand-dog Scout by her side, exploring the beauty of the world around her.

Beyond her love for animals, LJ possessed a remarkable gift for forging deep, sincere connections with everyone she met. Whether it was a brief conversation with a stranger or a heartfelt chat with a friend, she had an uncanny ability to listen and empathize, making everyone feel seen and valued. Her warmth and genuine interest in others made her a beloved friend and confidante. She listened with an open heart and offered support and encouragement. As a dedicated nurse and acupuncturist, Lisa took immense pride in caring for others, using her skills to heal and uplift her patients. Her nurturing spirit and commitment to helping others were evident in every interaction leaving a lasting impact on the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. Her laughter was infectious, and her warmth could brighten the darkest of days.

Despite the challenges she faced with her illness, Lisa approached each day with courage and grace. Her strength and resilience served as an inspiration to many. She taught us the importance of cherishing every moment, embracing life’s joys, and finding beauty even in the struggle.

As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the incredible legacy she leaves behind. Lisa has touched countless lives with her kindness, love, and wisdom. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were touched by her kindness and love.

A celebration of Lisa's life will be held Friday, Nov. 1, from 6-9 p.m. at The Heartwood Center in Sandpoint, Idaho. Halloween theme (of course) and costumes encouraged! We welcome all who wish to share their memories and honor the beautiful spirit of our amazing friend.

Rest in peace, dear Lisa. Your light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts and in the lives of those you have touched.
