SANDPOINT — Beginning on Oct. 28, first, second and fifth graders at Farmin Stidwell Elementary School will be offered free dental care.
With parent/guardian permission and a health history form, students will be able to receive sealants and fluoride varnish at no cost, regardless of insurance status. Sealants cover grooves in teeth to prevent harmful bacteria from causing tooth decay, and fluoride varnish prevents cavities and strengthens teeth.
The clinic is set to take place on-site as part of Delta Dental of Idaho’s Grins on the Go program. Beginning Nov. 11, the same service will be offered to first, second and fifth graders at Southside Elementary School.
