2A DISTRICT 1-2 CROSS COUNTRY: Caven headed to state meet
LEWISTON — At Lewis-Clark State College, Clark Fork High junior Westin Caven ran a season-best 5,000-meter time of 17 minutes and 47 seconds to finish sixth at the 2A District 1-2 championship meet on Thursday, punching his ticket to state for the second straight year.
Caven beat out runners from Logos, Genesee, Prairie, Nezperce, Troy, Potlatch and more in order to qualify for the 2A state meet, which will be held Nov. 2 at Eagle Island State Park.
